Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring prior Neuro ICU experience and current TX or compact RN licensure, with night shifts in a 1:2 patient ratio setting.

Details

• Neuro ICU unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1–2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
