American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pulmonary/Med-Surg travel position in Iowa, requiring at least 24 months of Med-Surg experience and charge nurse experience.

Details

• 23-bed Pulmonary/Med-Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes pulmonary and general medical-surgical cases
• Heparin drip management required
• May care for COVID-positive patients
• Traveler is required to float across multiple campuses
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA or ARC BLS certification required
• Minimum 24 months of Med-Surg experience required
• Pulmonary patient care experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Experience with pulmonary/ventilated patients on BiPAP and trach care highly preferred
• Level I trauma experience highly preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply provided the 2+ year Med-Surg experience requirement is met
• Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
• Travelers are required to work 2 of the following 3 holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• Time-off requests are limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday windows
