Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position specializing in cardiac surgery and critical care, with a 1:2 patient ratio and day shift scheduling.

Details

• CVICU setting within a hospital environment
• Patient population includes adults to geriatrics
• Diagnoses include cardiac surgery (CABG, valve), CAD (STEMI, NSTEMI, AFib with RVR), cardiogenic shock, peripheral vascular bypasses, EVAR, and thoracic cases (VATS)
• Unit capacity of 8 beds with an average daily census of 6
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required PRN to IMC and within specialty; may also float to other units and sister facilities within scope
• No on-call required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD state or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience required
• First-time travelers may be considered with 2+ years of open heart/CVICU experience

Additional Information

• Navy scrubs preferred
• Holiday coverage required as holidays fall on the schedule
• Any time-off requests must be disclosed at the time of initial consideration
