American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at an acute care Magnet-recognized hospital in Rochester, NY, requiring an active NY RN license and Epic experience.

Details

• 26-bed MS/Tele unit specializing in post-PCI, pacemaker, AICD, post-MI, and cardiac pharmacologic intervention patients
• Acute care Magnet-recognized teaching hospital (528 beds) affiliated with Cleveland Clinic and Roswell Park
• Certified Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a (4x12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required, as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:5 (1:7 on MedSurg)
• Epic EMR required
• Floating within skillset required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY single-state RN license currently in hand (NY is not a Compact state)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
• Experience with peripheral line care and management
• Cardiac monitoring skills including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with rapid response and code team protocols
• Skills in non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
• Wound care and wound vac experience required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of consideration

• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
