Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring BLS, NRP, and Dr. Brown's Infant-Driven Feeding certification.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital-based Neonatal ICU (NICU)
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3 weekends required per 6-week scheduling period
• Every other holiday required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted at time of consideration
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Dr. Brown's Infant-Driven Feeding certification required; candidates may be considered with certification pending (note: certification carries an out-of-pocket cost of $185)
• NICU nursing experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license) and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
• Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per 13-week contract; no time off approved during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
• Floating may be required in accordance with the candidate's clinical experience
