American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a full-time day shift contract at an academic medical center in Oklahoma City, OK.

Details

• Full-time position within a hospital respiratory care department
• Serves patients across all appropriate age levels in all areas covered by the department
• Day shift schedule
• 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program required
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience required; 2+ years in a critical care setting preferred
• RRT credential required (or must be obtained within 12 months of hire)
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)
• All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document patient responses in the computerized medical record
• Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients
• Serve as a resource to medical staff and provide age-appropriate care
• Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
• Participate as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may extend one time for a total of 26 weeks; after 26 weeks, a 6-month separation period is required before returning
• This facility has strict compliance deadlines — compliance documentation must be initiated immediately upon booking
