American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Adult Emergency Department position requiring at least one year of ED experience, ACLS certification, and Level 1 trauma background, working night shifts at a major academic health system in Oklahoma.

Details

• Adult Emergency Department in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Full-time, 13-week contract
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Patients range from simple to complex health conditions

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — no other issuing bodies accepted
• Minimum of 1 year of emergency department RN experience required
• Travel and trauma experience required; Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
• Full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, monitoring and documenting physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, assisting with minor diagnostic procedures, and coordinating with interdisciplinary team members
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period; extensions are limited to one time for a maximum total of 26 weeks
• This facility has strict compliance deadlines — onboarding requirements including drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements must be initiated immediately upon acceptance of an offer
• Compliance is non-negotiable; travelers who are not cleared by the compliance due date risk cancellation
