American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience, active RN license, and multiple AHA certifications including PALS, ACLS, ONS, and APHON Chemotherapy.

Details

• Hospital-based inpatient unit in a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology department
• Patients include pediatric oncology cases with varying complexity, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration
• Schedule is three 12-hour night shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Current certifications required (AHA-issued only): BLS, PALS, ACLS, APHON Chemotherapy, and ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration
• Oncology nursing experience is a plus
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates referrals for patient care needs
• Communicates care plans and hospital procedures to patients and families, including at time of discharge
• Previous travelers who have completed 26 weeks at this facility must have a 6-month separation before being eligible to apply for another contract
• This facility has strict compliance deadlines and candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon booking
