American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology position requiring at least one year of nursing experience, with required certifications including PALS, APHON Chemotherapy, ONS, and ACLS.

Details

• Inpatient hospital setting in a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit
• Pediatric oncology patient population with care needs ranging from simple to complex
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC Compact) required
• Current certifications required (all from AHA): BLS, PALS, and ACLS
• APHON Chemotherapy certification required
• Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration (ONS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Oncology experience is a plus
• Proficient IV skills including initiating, regulating, and monitoring IV infusions and blood products
• Basic computer skills required
• Full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring physiological data, documenting patient responses, assisting with procedures, and coordinating discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period; extensions are limited to one time, for a total of 26 weeks
• Compliance requirements (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance — compliance deadlines are firm and non-negotiable
