Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position at a Level 1 facility, requiring at least one year of nursing experience and current PALS certification.

Details

• Pediatric ICU (PICU) setting within a hospital environment
• Level 1 facility experience required
• CVICU and NICU experience is preferred
• Full-time, day shift schedule working 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (40 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, documenting responses to nursing interventions, administering medications, monitoring physiological data, and initiating IV infusions and blood products
• Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply; workers may only extend one time for a maximum of 26 weeks total
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — candidates must be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon accepting an offer
