American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position at a Level 1 facility, requiring at least 1 year of PICU experience and AHA-certified BLS and PALS.

Details

• Position is in a Pediatric ICU (PICU) at a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule
• 36 hours per week, working three 12-hour shifts
• Full-time, 13-week contract
• CVICU and NICU experience is preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or Compact/eNLC) currently in hand
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Level 1 facility experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned group of pediatric patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions, administering medications, and monitoring physiological data
• Initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
• Assists physicians during examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
• Communicates care plans with patients and families throughout the hospital stay and at discharge
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
• Previously employed travelers must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for another contract at this facility
• Compliance with all onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) is expected to begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer
