American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Trauma ICU position requiring at least one year of Level 1 Trauma ICU experience and cardiac experience, working 12-hour night shifts.

Details

• Trauma ICU unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Level 1 Trauma ICU patient population with cardiac cases
• Full-time, 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact/eNLC or Oklahoma state license) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience working directly in an ICU at a Level 1 Trauma facility required
• Cardiac experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Full date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing assigned patient groups, documenting nursing interventions, administering medications, monitoring physiological data, initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating care with physicians and support staff
• Communicates care plans with patients and families, including discharge instructions and referrals to appropriate personnel
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 cumulative weeks before being eligible for another contract
• Compliance requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance and deadlines are firm with no exceptions
