Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level II NICU position requiring at least 24 months of NICU experience and prior travel contract history.

Details

• 42-bed Level II NICU within a pediatric hospital environment
• Patient population includes premature infants and neonates with respiratory distress/failure, hypoglycemia, and related conditions
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3
• Vasopressors, sedation, and glucose management are performed on the unit
• Floating may be required to general pediatrics and PICU
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IA single-state or compact/multistate RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 24 months of NICU/Neonatal Intensive Care experience required
• Demonstrated experience and comfort with vasopressors, sedation, and glucose administration required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel contract within the past 18 months
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 2 years preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Travelers are required to work 2 of the following 3 holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving week and winter holiday periods
