American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Nephrology/Med-Surg unit, requiring at least one year of nursing experience and a current OK or Compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based position on a Medicine/Nephrology unit
• Med/Surg and stepdown patient population, including nephrology and end-of-life cases
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Proficiency with central line care and management, Foley care and management, and end-of-life care required
• Knowledge of dialysis site care, including appropriate handling of HD catheters and fistulas, required

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate Compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required; all certifications must be AHA-issued
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and stepdown experience required
• Charge nurse experience is a strong plus
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Full date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, documenting care, administering medications, monitoring IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating with physicians and support staff
• Involves patient and family education regarding care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced; candidates must be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon accepting an offer
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period following a maximum of 26 weeks of prior placement
