American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Endovascular position at a hospital in South Carolina, requiring a background in neuro interventions, cath lab, or cardiovascular OR and including on-call responsibilities every other week.

Details

• Neuro Endovascular procedural unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Patient population includes LVO stroke cases and cerebral aneurysm repairs performed alongside an endovascular-trained neurologist
• This is a newly opening department seeking experienced nurses to help establish the specialty service
• Day shift schedule: 08:00–16:30
• On-call required every other week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active SC or compact (multistate) RN license required
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (both AHA only)
• Moderate sedation training required
• Experience in neuro interventions, cath lab, or cardiovascular OR circulator required
• ICU experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, individualized care planning, and procedural nursing care within the endovascular suite
• Clinical duties include moderate sedation management, contrast injector operation, sheath removal, point-of-care testing, and procedural aseptic scrubbing and technique
• Operates physiological monitoring systems and other procedural equipment
• Responsible for completing procedural paperwork including consent forms, pre/post-procedure checklists, and time-outs
• Administers medications, blood, and blood products per facility policy
• Participates in patient safety initiatives including patient identification, universal protocol, and infection prevention
