American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift travel position at a hospital in Portland, ME, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active ME or compact RN license.

• Work in a 29-bed Med/Surg unit (P3CD) within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week
• Floating required on an as-needed basis, with a 25-mile float policy between facilities
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active ME or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience managing chronic illness and disability, performing physical assessments, medication administration, care planning, and clinical documentation
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include daily physical assessments and with changes in patient status, administering medications as ordered, updating and reviewing care plans and patient education weekly, writing clinical notes as needed, and ensuring patient safety
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this when applying
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and may be subject to a different bill rate; local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited
• Scrubs may be any color but must be fragrance-free
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
