American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Hematology/Oncology unit, requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification and at least one year of nursing experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Hematology/Oncology unit
• Step-down level care within the oncology setting
• Day shift schedule, 3 days per week at 12 hours per day (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or eNLC Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate required
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, documenting patient responses, and delegating tasks to support staff
• Collaborates with physicians during patient exams and minor diagnostic procedures
• Educates patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures, and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may return, but are limited to one extension for a maximum of 26 total weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before beginning another contract
• Compliance requirements, including drug screens and background checks, must be completed promptly after accepting an offer — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
