Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Acute Care Float Pool position requiring PICU and NICU experience, with night shift availability and comfort floating across multiple pediatric units.

Details

• Position is part of a float pool covering multiple pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, Peds Med/Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a
• 36 or 48 hours available per week (4x12-hour shifts)
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; VA license pending will be accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending); note there is a $185 cost associated with obtaining this certification
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required
• Peds PACU experience highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Must provide copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card for consideration

• Float assignments are based on the candidate's clinical experience and unit needs per facility float policy
• No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
