American Traveler is hiring a travel LVN/LPN with prior travel experience and an active Alaska license for a long-term care assignment offering flexible 12-hour shift schedules and traveler's choice of contract length.

Details

• Long-term care facility with 40 staffed beds
• LTC unit serving a long-term care patient population
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:20
• 4x12 or 3x12 variable shift schedule at traveler's discretion; shifts are either days (0700–1930) or nights (1900–0730) based on facility needs at time of start
• Occasional rotation between day and night shifts may be required for urgent staffing needs
• Choice of 13-week or 26-week contract length
• Charting performed in ECS
• May be required to float to other facilities within the state to meet staffing needs
• On-call is not required
• Free parking on site
• A vehicle will be arranged by the facility for use around town during the assignment

Requirements

• Active Alaska LPN/LVN license required at time of start — no pending licenses accepted
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Minimum 1 year of LTC experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and proof of personal vehicle insurance (including rental car coverage) required to operate the facility-provided vehicle
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• All travelers must obtain the Alaska Food Worker Certification, which is completed during on-site orientation; a one-time $10 fee applies
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• Travelers who were previously permanent staff at this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in assignment termination
• For 26-week contracts, no more than 2 weeks of RTO will be considered; travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO will not be approved if requested after an offer is made or contract is signed
