Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Oncology position requiring chemotherapy/oncology experience, APHON certification, and at least 1.5 years of general pediatrics experience.

Details

• Work setting is a general pediatrics unit with hem/onc, ortho, and surgical patient populations
• Patient ratio is 1:5
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required
• Float responsibilities include the PICU and NICU, as well as additional units based on skill set and hospital needs
• Charting system is Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, PALS, and APHON
• NRP and OCN certifications preferred
• Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required
• General pediatrics experience required
• Chemotherapy/oncology experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required for consideration

• Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
