American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in North Carolina, requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 733 staffed beds, operating as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs, including to sister campus locations
• No on-call requirement
• Charting performed in Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Pre-start orientation modules are required (estimated 4–10 hours)
• Up to 4 days of RTO may be approved per contract at manager's discretion; all time-off requests should be submitted upfront
• Only one holiday off can be approved per contract
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning
• Travelers on night shift may extend up to two times before being required to leave for at least 6 months prior to returning
• A 13-week contract with the option to extend once applies to night shift travelers under the standard contract limit policy
