American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist for a hospital-based oncology cancer center in Hilo, HI, requiring an active Hawaii RT license, ARRT(T), and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Position is located in a comprehensive cancer center providing oncology services
• Treatment modalities include 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electrons
• Set-ups include all treatment sites across a comprehensive cancer center
• Expected patient throughput of 25–30 patients per day
• Uses Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator
• Uses ARIA and Epic EMR systems
• Varied rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
• 8-hour shifts

Requirements

• Active State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a Radiation Therapist required by start of assignment — license required if applicable
• Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (T) required
• Current BLS required
• Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible radiation therapy experience
• Proficiency with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator required
• Experience with ARIA EMR required
• Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific patient care across the lifespan

Additional Information

• Independently performs radiation therapy treatments, simulations, treatment planning, and fabrication of specialized treatment aids per physician prescription
• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to assignment start; this appointment is held at the local Employee Health office
• Candidates should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start date in order to attend the Employee Health appointment Friday morning
• Holiday coverage is required as part of the rotating schedule
