American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment in an 854-bed hospital's Respiratory Services department in Asheville, NC.

Details

• Large 854-bed hospital respiratory services department serving adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
• Serves as the region's referral center for a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, Level III NICU, and children's hospital
• Patient ratios range from 10 to 25 patients
• Equipment includes GE R860 adult vents, Draeger infant/peds vents, Newport HT70 transport vent, V60 non-invasive device, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high-flow oxygen devices
• EMR: Cerner
• Night shift hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• At least 4 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Floating required to all critical care units and floors

Requirements

• Active RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist) required
• North Carolina Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Must have worked in the specialty within the last 6 months
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• NRP required for any RT staff caring for neonates
• NRP preferred for all other candidates
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Night shift staffing includes 12–16 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/peds service lines
