American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Mother Baby/Post Partum position in Asheville, NC, requiring at least 2 years of Mother Baby experience and night shift availability.

Details

• 34-bed Mother Baby unit with private couplet rooms in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:3–4 couplets
• Unit staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, and 1 PCT/secretary per shift
• Equipment used includes Alaris pumps and bilirubin blankets/lights
• Cerner EMR in use
• Weekends required; no on-call shifts
• Floating as helping hands to L&D and NICU

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA or ARC accepted) and NRP (AAP Advanced 9th Edition) certifications required; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date
• Minimum 2 years of recent Mother Baby experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Cares for couplet patients including those on Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery
• Performs circumcisions
• STABLE certification is preferred
• Prior travel experience is preferred
• The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys teaching
• Scrubs: Navy blue/white attire required
• Hospital has earned Magnet® Designation and Leapfrog 'A' Safety Grade, and is recognized as a Level II trauma center and Level III NICU referral center
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
