Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring strong Neuro ICU background, Epic EMR proficiency, and experience with EVDs, lumbar drains, and SAH patients.

Details

• Position is in a Neuro ICU (NSICU) at a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Epic EMR is used in this unit
• Floating to other Prisma Health units and/or campuses may be required based on census needs; staff will only float to units for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Neuro ICU experience required
• Experience with EVDs, lumbar drains, and SAH patients required
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the relevant Prisma Health flagship hospital (Prisma Richland) to be eligible; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible
• Two professional references required for consideration
• A copy of a valid driver's license and Social Security Number are required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide specialized nursing care to neurological ICU patients, including those with EVDs, lumbar drains, and subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH)
• The facility's goal is to keep agency staff in their home unit; floating is only initiated as needed due to census concerns
• 13-week contract
