Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neurosciences (Neuro/Stroke) unit position requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience and an active RN license, with AHA-issued BLS certification.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital Neurosciences unit serving stroke, neuro, orthopedic, and spine patients
• Day shift schedule working 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week (48 hours per week)
• 13-week contract
• May be required to precept other staff and work in a virtual care room

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA-issued certifications only
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Stroke experience and NIHSS certification are both preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, documenting care, and delegating tasks to support staff
• Candidate's full date of birth (DOB) will be required for consideration
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period following a maximum cumulative assignment length of 26 weeks
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance — this facility enforces strict compliance deadlines and will not negotiate start dates
