Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with high-capacity OR experience for a float OR position working a day/evening rotation on a 13-week travel contract.

Details

• Hospital OR float pool position serving a high-capacity operating room environment
• Schedule is a 4x10 or 4x12 day/evening rotation, with evenings as the primary shift when aligned with skills needs
• 4x10 evening shift hours: 1p–11p; day shift hours: 7a–5:30p (M, T, Th, F) and 9a–7:30p (W)
• 4x12 evening shift hours: 11a–11p; day shift hours: 7a–7:30p (M, T, Th, F) and 9a–9:30p (W)
• When scheduled for weekends on a 4x10 schedule, shifts will be 12 hours, with 8- or 10-hour shifts during the same week to meet contracted hours
• Contract includes 2 weeks of nights and at least 2 short calls per 4-week schedule, as well as weekend coverage
• EMR: Epic (charting)

Requirements

• CST certification from NBSTSA or NCCT required
• Experience in a high-capacity operating room required
• AHA certifications required
• Active MA license required; conditional or pending MA licenses are not accepted — license required if applicable
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Primary shift will be evenings, with day shifts scheduled when evening coverage is not needed
• Float pool assignment — candidates should be comfortable working across multiple OR specialties and settings
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced pay rate
• No validated parking available at Boston locations; public transportation or paid public parking lots are available nearby
