Description

American Traveler is hiring a Psychiatric RN with mandatory crisis intervention training (CPI, MOAB, or AVADE) and experience managing involuntary/IEA patients in a high-acuity psychiatric setting.

Details

• Inpatient psychiatric unit in a hospital setting
• High-acuity patient population with experience required in involuntary/IEA (Involuntary Emergency Admission) status patients
• Patient-centered care model with a team-based nursing approach
• Patient ratios of 1:6–7
• Day shift or Day/Night rotation, 36 hours per week
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
• Restraint chair experience preferred
• Schedules are posted approximately 4–6 weeks in advance

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Mandatory certification in at least one crisis intervention program: CPI, MOAB, or AVADE
• Experience with involuntary/IEA status and high-acuity psychiatric patients required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

• Two managerial references required for consideration
• Care delivery follows a patient-centered, team-approach nursing model
