American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Behavioral Health night shift position requiring 2+ years of inpatient psychiatric experience and a valid Iowa or compact RN license.

Details

• Inpatient Behavioral Health unit in a regional hospital setting
• Adult psychiatric patient population, ages 18–65, presenting with anxiety, depression, manic disorders, borderline personality disorder, and suicidal ideation
• 14-bed unit with an average daily census of approximately 7 patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility
• EMR: Meditech
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• AHA certifications required (BLS at minimum; provide copies of all applicable certifications)
• ADN or BSN required
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient behavioral health or psychiatric unit experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required prior to start — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• All county and state background checks must be fully cleared prior to start date
• Mandatory reporter certification required for both child and adult
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Titers required within the last 12 months: MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
