American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a surgical unit position requiring Epic EMR experience and an IL RN license.

Details

• Surgical/OR unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 10-hour shifts (4 days/week)
• Rotating call required in addition to standard schedule
• 40 hours per week

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Associate's degree (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• English fluency required (speak, read, write)

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
• Travelers who have been on assignment at any Carle Health location for 1 continuous year must take a 6-month break before returning
• Responsibilities include completing patient assessments, developing and modifying care plans, implementing nursing interventions, and maintaining accurate documentation
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure continuity and integration of patient care
