Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with pediatric experience for a 13-week travel contract in Southwest Florida, requiring prior travel experience and on-call availability across adult and pediatric surgical services.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting serving both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Surgical services include ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery
• 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week, with variable start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM
• On-call is required for this position
• No block scheduling is available
• EMR: Epic
• Floating is required — travelers are the first to float and may float to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the primary facility

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license (must be in hand)
• Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Pediatric OR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience is highly preferred
• Degree accreditation documentation required, or minimum 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation
• Two professional references required — at least one from within the past year
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility's permanent address (radius rule strictly enforced)
• Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

• Nurses begin orientation on a Friday, which includes remote orientation followed by an in-person visit to the facility for badge/ID — candidates must be in the area on that day
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration and will not be approved after an offer is made
• Travelers are expected to integrate fully into the team and function as core staff
• Candidates must be flexible and willing to float, including to sister campuses
• Full DOB, SSN, RN license number, and current address are required for consideration
• First-time travelers will not be considered — prior travel experience is strongly preferred
