American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Magnet teaching hospital in Oregon, requiring 2 years of ED experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Night shift position, 7p–7:30a (3x12-hour shifts)
• 16-bed main ED plus a 4-bed Rapid Care/Fast Track unit (open daily 1300–2200)
• Department sees approximately 88 patients per day with a mixed population: ~25% geriatric, ~25% pediatric, and ~25% Spanish-speaking only
• Stroke-certified facility with a cardiac center and 24-hour STEMI capability; not trauma-designated but does receive drive-in traumas for stabilization and transfer
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Weekend shifts required
• Floating within the hospital is required; floating to sister hospitals is not required
• No on-call requirements
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active Oregon (OR) RN license required; pending licensure accepted if application has been submitted to and received by the licensing board
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ED/ER RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Triage experience preferred; Stroke Certification preferred
• Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required (Charge RN references are not acceptable)
• COVID vaccination proof required; no exemptions
• Copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• 13-week contract with interest in longer assignments noted as a plus
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrubs are provided; no printed scrub patterns permitted
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration, with a maximum of 1 week allowed
• Candidates who were previously employed or on assignment with the associated health system (OHSU) must have a reference completed by the OHSU manager who supervised them
• Former travelers must have been away from this facility for at least 6 months before returning on a new assignment
