American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and stable chronic ventilator experience, with night shifts and every-other-weekend availability.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a hospital setting in Dayton, OH
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• 13-week contract with options for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Targeted patient ratio of 1:4, with potential to reach 1:5-6
• Epic EMR experience required
• Travelers are first to float at the facility's discretion, within medically appropriate specialty clusters
• Floating may include the main campus (Dayton), south campus (Centerville, less than 10 miles away), and north campus (Englewood, less than 15 miles away)
• Every other weekend and holiday availability required

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
• IV Start certification preferred
• Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required
• Experience with stable chronic ventilators required
• Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass an online EKG/telemetry competency assessment prior to starting the assignment
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Nurses assigned to the HRRU unit will be fitted for an N95 respirator prior to starting, unless a PAPR is offered or required
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial application; no RTO will be added after an offer is extended, and approval is at the manager's discretion
• First-time travelers may apply, though travel experience is preferred
