American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Washington, DC, requiring at least 2 years of experience and an active DC RN license.

Details

• Endoscopy unit within a 228-bed Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital in Washington, DC
• RN serves in a dual capacity: preoperative care (IV initiation, patient assessment, and education) on assigned days, and as a circulating nurse in the endoscopy suite on other scheduled days
• Patient ratios are 1:2 overall, with 1:3 in preop and 1:1 as circulator
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Block scheduling available
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating between like units is required
• Charting system: Cerner Sorian (1st generation)

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of endoscopy RN experience required
• Experience in both preoperative care and endoscopy circulating nurse roles preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

• Provides preoperative nursing care including IV initiation, patient assessment, and patient education on assigned days
