Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a critical access hospital in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, requiring a minimum of 3 years of acute care experience and a VT or compact RN license.

Details

• General Med/Surg unit within a 25-bed critical access hospital
• Primarily adult patients with occasional pediatric patients; this is not a dedicated pediatric floor
• Comprehensive care including medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, and swing bed services
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• Every other weekend required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active VT RN license or compact multi-state RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certifications required prior to start
• Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Candidates with Meditech experience are preferred

Additional Information

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process to address medical, surgical, and occasional pediatric patient needs
• Accountable to the Unit Director with day-to-day collaboration alongside the Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor
• Holistic care approach addressing patients' physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and developmental needs
• Travelers begin their assignment on Wednesdays
• All required credentials must be uploaded at least five business days before the start date
