American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Outpatient Hematology/Oncology Clinic position requiring oncology experience and a Michigan RN license.

Details

• Outpatient hematology/oncology infusion clinic setting attached to a hospital campus
• Infusion area consists of 16 chairs and 6 private bedrooms
• Adult hematology/oncology patient population receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusions
• Onsite chemotherapy/immunotherapy mixing pharmacy available
• Equipment includes IV pumps, Hoyer lifts for non-ambulatory patients, reclining chemotherapy infusion chairs, and mobile computer carts for bedside charting
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• No weekend, on-call, or float requirements

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Oncology nursing experience required
• Chemotherapy administration experience preferred

Additional Information

• Unit is staffed by five nurses plus a charge nurse
• Three medical oncologists each lead a separate RN/MA team outside of the infusion area
• Robust support services on site, including a social worker, dietitian, nurse navigator, survivor nurse, specialty pharmacy liaison, and pastoral care
• Emergency services available through the attached hospital
