Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a combined PCU/Med-Surg unit with a focus on neuro patients, requiring Epic experience and NIHSS certification for night shifts.

Details

• Combined PCU and Med-Surg unit in a hospital setting, with floating expected between both units
• Primary patient population is neurological, with overflow patients from other units
• Patient ratio is 1:3–5 depending on acuity
• EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) training required for monitoring and interviewing of epilepsy patients
• Epic EMR experience required
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license in good standing, with no licensure hits
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• PCU or progressive care nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two supervisory references from within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission; RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
