Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and required Epic proficiency for a 16-week day shift contract in a hospital respiratory care unit.

Details

• Hospital-based Respiratory Care unit
• 12-hour day shifts, Monday through Sunday
• Flexibility required with scheduling, including a minimum of every other weekend, to meet unit and patient care needs
• Flexibility to provide coverage support in the nursery and ER as needed
• 16-week assignment, with potential to extend to 32 weeks
• Epic EMR used; recent experience required
• No block schedules permitted for any reason

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
• NRP certification required, or demonstrated experience/exposure to neonatal or pediatric populations
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required — non-negotiable
• Current NY state license, or proof of pending application with applied date, required for consideration — note that NY licensing typically takes 6–8 weeks
• License required if applicable
• At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor (one within the past 6 months, one within the past year of employment)
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle with all-season or snow tires (required November through April) is strongly recommended
• Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays
• All employment gaps of 90 days or more must be explained
• Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
• Vermont licensure is not required at time of consideration; candidates must apply for VT licensure within 24 hours of accepting an offer
