Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, prior travel experience, and Charge RN capability on a night shift schedule.

Details

• 29-bed Medical Surgical unit serving adult through geriatric patients, with a focus on orthopedic and general med/surg populations
• High-volume patient populations include total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties
• Moderate-volume populations include other surgical procedures, inpatient, and 24-hour observation medical patients
• Telemetry monitoring is available on the unit
• On-unit physical therapy gym allows patients to receive PT without leaving the floor
• Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed
• Charge RN coverage required as needed
• EMR: Epic (experience mandatory)

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position

Additional Information

• May serve in a Charge RN capacity as needed during the assignment
• All RNs are required to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, regardless of specialty — two attempts are allowed
• Candidates should prepare for the EKG exam in advance, as study materials will not be provided by the facility
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• 13-week assignment
