American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Resource Float Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring prior travel experience, Epic proficiency, and teaching hospital background.

Details

• Resource Float pool position floating to Med/Surg Telemetry and Med/Surg units as needed
• 12-hour night shifts in an academic teaching hospital setting
• Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling permitted
• Every other weekend requirement minimum, with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Assignment length of 16–32 weeks

Requirements

• Active RN license in Vermont (VT) or a compact state; NY license accepted with proof of pending licensure
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• PCCN and orthopedic certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Academic teaching hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable)
• Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required, with at least one from the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Must cover 2 of the 4 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
• Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays
• Reliable personal transportation is strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in this area; all-season or snow tires required November through April
• This is an immediate offer position — no formal interview required
