American Traveler is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) with 2+ years of experience for a Sleep Disorder travel assignment in the Detroit metro area.

Details

• Work in a sleep disorder lab setting, with rotation across multiple sleep clinic locations in the Detroit metro area as needed
• Patient population includes pediatric patients ages 5 and up through adults
• Procedures include polysomnography (PSG), CPAP and BiPAP titrations, and sleep reliability scoring
• Epic EMR used; on-the-job training provided
• 4x10 hour overnight shifts per week, 7:30 PM – 6:30 AM
• 40 hours per week; 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RPSGT certification through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technicians (BRPT) required
• Current BLS certification required; must be AHA-issued
• Minimum of 2 years of polysomnography experience required
• Michigan state license required if applicable
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree with scientific coursework preferred
• Proficiency in sleep reliability scoring per established sleep center guidelines
• Experience or comfort working with pediatric patients preferred
• COVID vaccination required

Additional Information

• Oversee and perform complex sleep study procedures, including CPAP and BiPAP titrations
• Score and tabulate sleep recordings including sleep stages, respiratory events, and limb movements per established guidelines
• Assist technicians in troubleshooting during challenging data acquisition to ensure high-quality PSGs
• Generate detailed reports and performance summaries for physician interpretation
• Maintain compliance with BRPT Standards of Conduct
• Online orientation modules must be completed and passed prior to start, typically done onsite approximately one week before the assignment begins
• No blocked scheduling; any time-off requests submitted after an offer is made will need to be discussed with management once the assignment begins
• First-time travelers are not mentioned as eligible; 2 years of experience is required
