American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position with at least 1 year of experience, working night shifts at a 167-bed hospital in Gallatin, TN.

Details

• Labor & Delivery / Nursery / Postpartum unit in a 167-bed acute care hospital
• 5 L&D beds with a maternity and newborn patient population
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for patients on Pitocin, 1:2 otherwise
• Common diagnoses and treatments involve labor and delivery care
• EMR: Meditech (experience preferred but not required); Centricity experience also preferred
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• 2 on-call shifts required per 6-week period
• Float requirements: as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a valid Compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN (AHA-issued certifications required)
• Fetal monitoring experience required
• PALS certification preferred
• Couplet care experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere

Additional Information

• The unit covers Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum care
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• The facility is a Level III Trauma Center fully accredited by The Joint Commission
• All clinical staff working in Tennessee must be cleared through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
• Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, cooperative nature, and demonstrate initiative
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• 13-week contract
