American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a robust L&D unit, requiring shift rotation and on-call availability.

Details

• Work in a robust Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour shifts scheduled 07:00–19:00 or 19:00–07:00, rotating days and nights
• Scheduled 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• 4 x 12-hour on-call shifts required per 6-week period
• Floating to similar units may be required as needed

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current NRP certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis, with age-appropriate nursing interventions aligned to the plan of care
• Expected to contribute to department performance through precepting and mentoring of novice staff
• Participation in hospital-system initiatives supporting Evidence-Based Practice is encouraged
• Demonstrates continued professional growth by setting goals and engaging in educational opportunities
