American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum position at a major NJ hospital system, requiring at least 1 year of experience and NRP certification, working overnight shifts every other weekend.

Details

• Work in a Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum unit that shares a floor with Antepartum
• Patient population includes NSD, C-section, Chorioamnionitis, Chronic Hypertension, and Diabetes cases
• Patient ratio is 1:6 based on acuity
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Float requirements include SCN, Feeders & Growers, Antepartum, and other areas based on clinical skillset and hospital need
• Charting via Epic
• Equipment experience required: Sara Steady, Bedside Scale, Bladder Scanner, Bilimeter, Breast Pump, SCN, and Antepartum equipment
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of Mother-Baby/Post Partum RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (candidates who hold AWHONN Beginner may be considered but must obtain AWHONN Intermediate after start)
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• All requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to an offer being made
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
