Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Wound Care position requiring at least 3 years of experience, wound care certification, and an AZ or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Wound Care unit
• Patient population spans all age groups: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Uses Epic EMR
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license, currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Wound Care Certification from ABWM or NAWCO required; pending certification may be considered for candidates with exceptionally strong wound care and ostomy skills
• Minimum 3 years of wound care experience required

Additional Information

• Functions independently managing consults, wound assessment, staging, and treatment plan recommendations
• Strong documentation skills in Epic are essential to this role
• Expected to serve as a subject matter expert and actively educate staff on wound care practices
• Excellent collaboration skills required given the consult-based nature of the role
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
