American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and MO State License for a hospital-based Radiation Oncology department serving a high-volume, diverse patient population.

Details

• Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology department at a short-term acute care, academic teaching facility with 1,259 staffed beds
• Department operates 8 external beam treatment machines (dedicated therapist staffing) and a simulation suite with 2 CT and 1 MRI machines
• Patient population ranges from infants to geriatrics, including ambulatory, inpatient, and outpatient cases
• High-volume department with approximately 130 patient treatments and scans performed daily
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs; no floating to sister facilities
• Charting performed in Epic; Aria (record and verify system) also in use
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM) with a rotating day off; no weekends or on-call required

Requirements

• Active MO State Radiation Therapist license required at time of consideration; pending IL license acceptable for IL-based submissions
• Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Experience with Aria (record and verify system) required
• Experience with Epic EHR required
• Experience on Varian TrueBeam, Halcyon, or Edge machines strongly preferred for a smoother clinic transition
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any facility in this health system as a traveler
• Travelers may work up to 18 months consecutively, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Allied travelers are subject to a 12-month maximum stay, followed by a mandatory 6-month break in service
• Interviews are conducted with all applicants prior to an offer being extended
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
• Monthly parking passes are available through the facility's Public Safety department at various price points
