Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience and hands-on proficiency with advanced cardiac support devices including Impella, IABP, and CRRT.

Details

• Inpatient hospital CVICU setting
• Patient population includes fresh post-op open heart cases (CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR), ventilated patients, chest tubes, lumbar drains, and patients with chronic and acute renal failure
• Patient ratio is 1:1-2; ratios may vary when floating
• Charting performed in Epic
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Floating required to all ICUs, PACU, ED (ICU holding patients), and IMC units

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of current CVICU experience required; SICU experience with documented initial CVICU training may be considered
• Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT (Prismax) OR experience with fresh open heart cases required
• Proficiency with post-op open heart recovery, Swan-Ganz catheters, FloTrac, temporary pacers, arterial lines (A-lines), and chest tubes required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration
