Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU travel assignment requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float required to all ICUs and may float to the ED or PACU to cover ICU patients in those areas; may occasionally float to MS/PCU units with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Standard patient ratio is 1:2, occasionally flexing to 1:3
• Equipment includes: Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA Pumps, Servo I Ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis Machines, Edwards Lifesciences Cardiac Monitors, Medtronic EVD Management Systems, Arctic Sun TMS, GE Monitors, Hill-Rom Beds, Pyxis Medication Stations, and Veratron Bladder Scanners
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active LA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU or ICU nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to perform lab draws, EKGs, and line starts
• Ability to care for isolation patients, including COVID-19; must know your N95 mask size
• A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months is required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be listed and explained

Additional Information

• Nurses are responsible for lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts as part of routine patient care
• CPI certification can be obtained at the facility for $100 if not already held
• RTO is limited to 5 days for the duration of the contract
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible for a travel assignment
