American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PCU position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring telemetry experience and ACLS certification for night shifts.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a Level 1 trauma center and academic teaching hospital
• Patient population includes trauma surgical and abdominal transplant patients
• Telemetry monitoring required; experience with wound care, fracture care, post-surgical care, traction, and patient mobility is preferred
• Familiarity with IV drips such as insulin and heparin required
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license, in hand at time of consideration — no licensure hits accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with trauma surgical and/or abdominal transplant patient populations required
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center, academic teaching facility, or high-volume facility required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
