American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a BMT Oncology position at a Magnet-designated Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring oncology/chemo certification and active MO or compact RN license.

• BMT Oncology unit within a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital with 1,266 staffed beds
• Unit average daily census of 30 with 32 beds
• Patient ratio of 4:1 on all shifts
• Specialized procedures include autologous stem cell transplants and chemotherapy administration
• Required skills include accessing/managing ports, administration of blood and blood products, central line blood draws, central line/implanted line care, PICC line care, IV insertion and maintenance, antibiotics, antiemetics, Foley catheter insertion/management, isolation precautions, and telemetry interpretation and monitoring
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating throughout the Oncology department is required as needed per shift

Requirements

• Active MO RN license required (compact license also accepted; IL candidates may submit with pending IL license)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, ONS/ONCC, and Chemo certification
• Must pass the Relias EKG exam; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience required
• Experience with chemotherapy administration required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract; no RTO allowed during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may remain for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
